Local Express can use the manual or automatic driver assignment options.
- Manual assignment is a process flow where the drivers are assigned to the orders manually by the store staff or take the unassigned orders themselves.
- Automatic assignment suggests optimized order assignment to drivers based on their location and distance to the pickup and delivery locations. In the automatic assignment, the orders are automatically offered to the drivers depending on their driver order limit (capacity). The capacity can be set individually for each driver in the store, or be equal for all the drivers.
- To enable or configure the capacity settings for drivers, address the Local Express support team.
- To enable or disable the auto driver assignment, go to the LE Admin → Your store → Settings → Admin, and find the Driver Assignment Mode.
